Position: Teller
Job Grade NCS5
Job Reference : NCS/HR1/8/2021

The teller will be reporting to the Chief Teller and will be the frontline person for FOSA services to ensure customer satisfaction by processing all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Job description

  1. Conduct FOSA routine cash transactions accurately within time limits and established guidelines.
  2. Confirm all cash received and returned to treasury in the presence of Chief Teller daily
  3. Assess customer needs and advise customers on new Sacco products and services
  4. Make mobile money transfers using the organization’s established mobile money transfer agent number and under established mobile money transfer regulations
  5. Reconcile mobile money transfer transactions daily and give reports to the Chief Teller
  6. Make sales referrals, suggest alternate channels and cross-sell products and services
  7. Go the “extra mile” to build trust relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction
  8. Perform any other task as assigned from time to time.

Person Specifications

  1. For appointment at this position, a candidate must have:
  2. A minimum of 2 years proven, related working experience in financial services
  3. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or its equivalent, CPA qualification will be an added advantage.

The DMS specialist will be reporting to the Systems administrator and will be responsible for managing the Sacco’s documents and records electronically

Job Description

  1. Align existing ICT policies and procedures with those that deal with document storage, sharing, sending, and destruction.
  2. Evaluate existing document management systems and procedures in order to assess how effective and efficient they are and update accordingly
  3. Ensure seamless flow of critical Sacco processes through ensuring 100% uptime of the DMS.
  4. Create and maintain database for control and retrieval of documents.
  5. Ensure and guide on proper handling of all the Sacco documents.
  6. Ensure proper storage, custody, and preservation of archives
  7. Provide input in the preparation of Sacco’s forms
  8. Prepare, scan, reassemble and index documents ready for filing.
  9. Guide on the number of records created and stored, and identify which records are to be preserved/ disposed for evidential, statutory, fiscal, research and historical purposes.
  10. Locate and isolate outdated or unnecessary records ready for disposition or transfer to the archive according to the Records Management policy guidelines.
  11. Modify and streamline the filing systems by appending identification numbers or codes to the filing index
  12. Perform any other task as assigned from time to time.

Person Specifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Records Management, Information Technology, Archives and Records management or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  2. 2 years’ records management experience in a reputable Financial Institution.
  3. Must have demonstrable working Knowledge of DMS solutions
  4. Possess working knowledge of computerized office applications.
  5. Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
